The main line of the experience is formed by Natsional'nogo parka Triglav, Viševnik and Blejska Koča. They are spaced through the journey so that the area reveals itself gradually.

Travel from Ljubljana by train or bus to Jesenice, Lesce-Bled, Bohinj or Kranjska Gora, depending on the starting valley. Continue by local bus or transfer towards the trailhead. Because the start and finish are in different places, check the return service in advance, arrange a transfer or leave a second vehicle near the finish.

By car

Parking

Park only in official areas at valley entrances, lakes, cable cars and visitor facilities. Many national-park car parks are paid and fill quickly.

Difficult sections and safety

Long climbs and descents can slow the pace considerably, especially on wet or rocky ground. The finish is separate from the start, so arrange the return journey before setting out. Download an offline map and tell someone when you expect to return.
