The approach to the water unfolds gradually, moving from sheltered paths to open shoreline. Even the connecting sections remain engaging because of woodland paths, open shores and quiet waterside sections. The main line of the experience is formed by Al'piiskii ozioram and Panoramaweg Schynige Platte. They are spaced through the journey so that the area reveals itself gradually.

Getting there

Without a car

Travel by train to the nearest valley hub, then continue by regional rail or PostBus to the trailhead near the trailhead. A cable car may be required for high-mountain villages; check the return timetable.

By car

Use the A6/A8/A9 and valley roads only as far as authorised parking. Many Alpine villages are closed to normal private traffic.

Parking

Leave the car beside a railway station, lower cable-car terminal or in a municipal valley car park.
