Route at a glance

The lower section offers a gradual start before woodland gives way to more open terrain. The character of the area is especially clear in wooded lower slopes, mountain meadows and rocky ground. The main line of the experience is formed by T/s «Uzundzha», Ai-Dimitrii, S Ai-Dimitrii and S Uzundzha. They are spaced through the journey so that the area reveals itself gradually.

Getting there

Travel to Simferopol by train or intercity coach, then continue by trolleybus or bus to Yalta, Alushta, Angarsky Pass or the nearest settlement. A local taxi may be needed for the trailhead near the trailhead. The main approach uses the A-291 Tavrida highway and the Simferopol–Alushta–Yalta road, followed by local mountain roads. Plateaus, ranger posts and protected areas have vehicle restrictions. Difficult sections and safety

Long climbs and descents can slow the pace considerably, especially on wet or rocky ground. The finish is separate from the start, so arrange the return journey before setting out. Download an offline map and tell someone when you expect to return.
