The lower section offers a gradual start before woodland gives way to more open terrain. An unhurried pace leaves time to notice wooded lower slopes, mountain meadows and rocky ground rather than focusing only on the finish. The route passes Dolinu Vulkanov, Radialki and Buda-Khanda. Travel by train or intercity coach to the nearest regional hub, then continue by local transport to the settlement near the trailhead. A pre-booked transfer may be required for a remote trailhead. Difficult sections and safety

Long climbs and descents can slow the pace considerably, especially on wet or rocky ground. The route requires energy for the second half, so identify rest points in advance and avoid a late start. The finish is separate from the start, so arrange the return journey before setting out.
