Route at a glance

Most of the route stays under tree cover, with clearings and old tracks regularly opening the view. Along the way, mixed woodland, old forest tracks and small clearings are revealed one section at a time. Named places along the way include Novogrudok, Lida, Novogrudskii and Novogrudskie gorochki B200. Zakrytie sezona. Together they give the walk a clear sequence and make the area easier to remember.

Getting there

Without a car

Travel by train to Grodno, Lida, Slonim or Smarhon, choosing the station nearest the trailhead. Continue by district bus to the settlement near the trailhead; check bicycle carriage rules in advance.

By car

Use the M6, M11, P5, P11 or P44, depending on the district, followed by the local road to the start. Observe access rules around historic sites and border areas.

Parking

Leave the car beside a station, castle, museum, visitor centre or in a municipal town car park.

Difficult sections and safety

On public roads, allow for vehicle traffic, crosswinds, and potentially long gaps between convenient stopping places. Check the brakes and lights, carry enough water, and plan rest points in advance.
