Route at a glance

The path follows the river valley, sometimes close to the water and sometimes on higher banks. An unhurried pace leaves time to notice floodplain paths, green riverbanks and quiet country lanes rather than focusing only on the finish. The route passes Gorki, Dribin, Nasustrach Letu and Navstrechu letu. Together they turn the walk into a coherent introduction to the area rather than a simple transfer.

Getting there

Without a car

Travel by train to Mogilev, Orsha-Tsentralnaya, Horki or Krychau, then take a district bus to the settlement near the trailhead. Check infrequent rural services in advance.

By car

The main approaches use the M8, P15, P43 and P76, followed by district roads. Check surface conditions on field and forest sections.

Parking

Park beside a station, administrative building, museum or official area in the nearest settlement.

Difficult sections and safety

The main risks are traffic, fatigue, and changing weather on exposed sections. Wear visible clothing, use lights even in daylight, and replenish water before supplies run low.

Best time: April–October, after the snow has gone and before persistent frost
