Take the train to Poprad-Tatry, then use the Tatra Electric Railway to Starý Smokovec, Štrbské Pleso or Tatranská Lomnica. Continue from the relevant station towards the trailhead. Because the start and finish are in different places, check the return service in advance, arrange a transfer or leave a second vehicle near the finish.

Drive via the D1 and road 537 along the foot of the Tatras. Private vehicles may approach high-mountain trails only as far as official resort car parks.
