Route description

From Novopolotsk, the journey enters country roads south of the Western Dvina. Its broad southern side connects Ushachi, Bychki and Prozoroki before finishing on the southern side of Polotsk. The stops have a clear theme: local memory at the Ushachi museum, Vasil Bykau’s reconstructed family estate and Ignat Buinitsky’s memorial site. Long independent road passages remain between them, so treat this as a multiday cycling journey with confirmed overnight arrangements. Lake-country surroundings and village buildings provide changing settings, but a visit to every nearby shore or estate interior is not promised. Arrange the return from the finish to Novopolotsk separately.
