Route description

In Chizhovka, a short cycle outing fits between Tashkentskaya Street and Minsk’s 900th Anniversary Park. It begins near the northeastern entrance, with the park’s founding marker on the garden side. The lane initially follows the street before turning towards the north side of Chizhovka Arena. The city remains close, while the direction changes with the outline of the park and its large sporting neighbour. The most distinctive section curves around the arena on its park side. The building’s strong geometry contrasts with branching paths and greenery. Near the western bend, the Heart sculpture stands on an adjacent platform. Stop clear of cycling traffic before taking a photograph, and use a permitted pedestrian path for a closer look. The route continues along the western side of the arena towards Golodeda Street. This is a brief introduction to the park’s edge that can fit into a day in the city. Save the Chizhovskoye Reservoir promenade for a separate walk: this version does not reach the waterfront. Choose a suitable southern finishing point and arrange your return before setting off.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car - Hard With children - With caution With a dog - No data By bike - Yes With a stroller - No Mobile signal - No data The main section is intended for cycling, with separate pedestrian paths nearby. A child needs confident bicycle handling and adult accompaniment. Choose the park’s pedestrian network separately for a stroller outing. Dog admission and mobile reception are unverified. The difficulty without a car concerns bringing a bicycle and returning from the southern end; arrange both beforehand.

Nearby

Minsk Zoo is nearby at 40 Tashkentskaya Street. Admission and its exhibitions are a separate visit: this cycle route does not pass through the zoo grounds. Check visitor rules, tickets and opening with the zoo itself. The Chizhovskoye Reservoir promenade, main park rides and inner pedestrian paths lie away from this version. Use a permitted path for an extension and leave the bicycle only where allowed. The park operator announced the end of the rides season on 28 September 2026, with the next season planned for April 2027; verify reopening before visiting.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
Use the Zoopark stop on the park side of Tashkentskaya Street as a reference when checking a journey. Its platform is near the northern part of this route. A suitable current service and bicycle carriage are unconfirmed; ask the operator for the intended day. Arrange the return from Golodeda Street as well: a nearby stop does not establish that a bicycle can be carried.
By car
For arrival, use Minsk’s 900th Anniversary Park and Chizhovka Arena beside Tashkentskaya Street as references. Check permissible vehicle access for the intended day, since major events can change movement around the complex. Do not plan to drive onto the cycle lane or park paths. Agree a meeting point if arriving separately, allowing for the southern finish near Golodeda Street.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Before travelling, establish where leaving a car is permitted and whether an arena event restricts access. Space beside the sporting complex does not guarantee a place for a park visitor. Choose another arrival method if necessary, and keep entrances, crossings and the cycle lane clear.

What to expect

Places
Minsk’s 900th Anniversary Park from the Cycleway - The park edge beside this cycling direction, without implying a visit to the distant waterfront.
May 1967 Park Founding Marker - The marker beside the northeastern entrance can be seen from the adjacent route; inspect it from the permitted pedestrian side.
Chizhovka Arena from the North and West - Exterior views while curving around the sporting complex on its park side; admission and events are separate.
View of the Heart Sculpture - An adjacent open platform at the western bend; use a separate permitted pedestrian path for a closer approach.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 9 м.
SurfaceAsphalt 95%.
Риски Pay attention at the northern turn away from Tashkentskaya Street, at park-path crossings and around the arena’s western side. The main cycle lane is separate from pedestrian paths; follow signs and stop clear of movement. Nearby pedestrian stairs are not a guaranteed convenient bicycle connection. At the southern end, a separate short fragment lies near a junction without a confirmed connection to the main part; earth and grass occur nearby. Inspect signs and the surface before continuing. Finish on the main lane if no permissible connection exists. Riding over lawns, steps or an unsuitable platform is not a substitute for that connection.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 21 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Allow for a short daylight city outing, with time to inspect turns and arrange the return. An exact completion time is unverified. Decide on a convenient finish south of the arena first, then ride without hurry and stop clear of the cycle lane when looking around. Visiting the arena, zoo or waterfront requires separate time.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose a dry cycling day without snow or ice. After rain, take extra care on bends and beside the southern earth fragment; autumn leaves can hide slippery patches. Check restrictions during large events in the park and arena. The rides operate seasonally, independently of this cycling outing.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
A maintained city bicycle with working brakes and a bell.
Helmet, visible clothing and water.
A bicycle lock for any separate pedestrian visit.
A charged phone with a saved map and return arrangements.
Wind and rain protection suited to the forecast.
