Route description

Malyavki follows the waterside paths of Nadezhda Grekova Park, where discovering nature begins with a simple question: what might you notice beside the water? At an entrance map, choose the direction along Chizhovskoye Reservoir or towards the peninsula with its rotunda. Move between small stops, look at bird illustrations, compare trees and read about life beside an urban shore. The western branch includes panels about the kingfisher, minerals, medicinal plants and beaver habitats. They offer reasons to look more closely, rather than a promise of wildlife encounters: the shore’s inhabitants follow their own schedules. Other parts of the outing include an insect hotel, signs about identifying animal traces and information on helping birds. On the park peninsula, nature themes meet small urban discoveries. Look for the Malyavki, 1557 marker, the Kommunarka bench with bears, the chess area and the rotunda. Pause beside the latter to look over the water and decide whether to continue along the shore or return towards the residential streets. This version combines several branches rather than a single compulsory circuit. Choose their order using the installed maps and open paths. It makes an outing driven by curiosity: linger at one panel, pass a familiar topic and leave time for the view from the peninsula.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Most of the outing uses compacted pedestrian paths, but earth sections and separate branches occur. Use only an inspected accessible portion with a stroller; continuous passage through the whole collection is unconfirmed. Accompany children beside water and at path crossings. Check bicycle and dog rules on site; reception is unknown. A suitable current public-transport service requires a separate check.

Nearby

Use the open pedestrian network to explore Grekova Park and the peninsula. Panels about fish and beavers establish neither fishing or bathing permission nor access to animals’ homes. Try sound panels if their equipment is working; continuous maintenance of every element is unverified. Rowing bases, the market and nearby city businesses are not guaranteed services for this walk. The zoo and Chizhovka Arena are in another part of the waterside area and outside this version. Arrange any separate excursion, meeting or workshop only after an organiser confirms it: a panel’s title does not establish a current organised activity.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
For the eastern park area, check the Malinina stop beside Malinina Street. Its nearest platform lies north of the park branches, but a suitable current service is unconfirmed. Choose the intended entrance on a map, verify transport with the operator and use safe crossings. Arrange the return towards the departure area beforehand if finishing on the western waterside branch.
By car
Arrival references are Nadezhda Grekova Park, Malinina Street and Malyavki Street on the Serebryanka side. Choose permissible city access to the required park area according to current signs. The waterside paths and peninsula require a separate pedestrian visit; driving along them is not implied. Agree on one entrance when meeting a group, since the branches are spread along the shore.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Establish a permissible place near the chosen entrance and its conditions for the intended day. Nearby homes, a market or park approaches do not guarantee visitor space. Keep service entrances, pavements and waterside paths clear.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 8 м.
SurfaceТип покрытия пока не определён.
Риски The outing has separate branches: the western waterside section, park paths and the circuit beside the peninsula rotunda. Do not assume an obvious passage between their ends. Consult the entrance maps before changing branches and use an existing permitted pedestrian connection. Return or finish the chosen section if that connection is unclear or closed. Stay away from soft bank edges and do not seek a passage through waterside vegetation. Earth and loose surfacing may be inconvenient after rain; assess icy paths in winter. Watch for other visitors and cycling on neighbouring routes at junctions. Wildlife panels do not guarantee sightings, and present operation of sound modules is unverified.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 1 h 1 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Allow time for reading, looking along the shore and returning from the chosen branch. An exact duration for this combination is unverified. At an entrance map, decide whether today’s priority is the western nature panels or the park and peninsula. Walk an available section, then add another only by a clear connection. Children may want frequent pauses, so avoid relying on the last possible return service.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
A dry daylight visit is convenient for reading panels and choosing paths. Assess damp shore-side earth in spring and after rain; carry water and sun protection for open places in summer. Autumn leaves may hide uneven ground, and winter requires checking clearance and grip beforehand. Bird observations depend on the season and chance, rather than a nearby sign.

What to bring

Comfortable shoes for compacted paths and earth.
Water and clothing for wind beside the reservoir.
A charged phone with a saved map and return arrangements.
