Route description

This mountain descent starts beside Manshuk Mametova Lake. From the lake approach it heads west through Alpingrad, then descends into Small Almaty Gorge and ends on Shymbulak’s side. The opening lake, specific mountaineering site and valley road define this variant. Arrange access to the high departure independently. The line excludes the resort-to-lake ascent and is not a complete circuit. Moraine stones near the lake are unstable; safe access to the water itself and winter passage are unconfirmed. Plan the approach, daylight descent and final exit beforehand.
