Route description

A short mountain passage links Iceberg and Kholodnoye lakes in Cirque 3. Their small basins reveal the slope’s history: avalanches formed the depressions, while melting snow supplies water. Pause beside Iceberg before continuing towards lower Kholodnoye along the permitted path. Fragile banks and lingering snow deserve care. In a dry autumn, an exposed basin can replace the water surface; that is part of the lakes’ seasonal life. Reaching this section from the valley and returning to the cableway need a separate plan.

A private car is unnecessary when the cableways operate, but the start is already in high terrain. The official lake excursion is demanding; the short passage between the shores does not make the complete outing a family stroll. Dog permission and reliable reception are unconfirmed.

Nearby

Aibga and Sedoy passes lie beyond this inter-lake passage and require a separate mountain continuation. Polikarya is farther down the slope and is excluded from the short lakeside walk.

Reach the resort by bus or via Estosadok station with a further transfer. The mountain section needs separate ascent on operating cableways. Confirm access into Cirque 3 and the final descent; a walk up from the village is excluded from this allowance.
By car
Vehicle access ends at the lower resort levels in Estosadok. The lakes require a permitted mountain approach followed by walking. Permission to drive service roads is unconfirmed.
Parking
The resort identifies parking at Poliana 540 and Poliana 960. A separate ascent still connects these areas with the lakes. Check current charges and storage until your evening return directly.
