Route description

This internal passage introduces the open upper Voldertal side near Melkböden. Mountain path character remains at first before the direction approaches a working lane and reaches the named pastoral meadows. Pause for the valley view and notice how the agricultural landscape continues above its wooded lower side. Melkböden is the selected portion’s final natural destination, without a promised lake or pass. First reach the short upper passage independently along permitted valley paths; its return is also separate. Steinkasernalm, the upper lake and Naviser Jöchl belong to other approaches and cannot become compulsory stops merely through proximity.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car - Hard With children - With caution With a dog - No data By bike - Partially With a stroller - No Mobile signal - No data The start is already deep in upper Voldertal after an independent approach. Children need mountain experience and supervision. Only the working-road portion has confirmed bicycle permission; narrow mountain paths do not provide an ordinary complete ride. A stroller is unsuitable; dog rules and continuous reception are unconfirmed.

Nearby

Steinkasernsee and abandoned Eisenkar mine workings need independent upper approaches, partly without an ordinary path. Naviser Jöchl is a separate pass direction. Steinkasernalm’s working farms and lower Schwarzbrunn natural sites are added as independent portions of the day.

Getting there

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 118 м.
SurfaceCompacted dirt 66%, Unknown 34%.
Риски The narrow mountain path requires secure footing and care after rain. Working lanes may carry agricultural activity; keep access clear and stay away from animals. Poor visibility complicates upper junctions. Avoid adding the lake, abandoned mine workings or pass without a separate checked plan.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Time for the route 30–45 min
With stops | 1–1.5 h This editorial allowance covers only the selected internal Melkböden passage. The lower valley approach and complete descent require a separate substantial allowance. The larger Naviser Jöchl outing and upper-lake visit are excluded.

Best time to go
