Route description

This mountain circuit starts beside Aigir’s railway side, climbs towards Karatash and follows the ridge towards Ufa Peak. It then descends the southern woodland branch, visits the Aigul’s Tears site beside an Aigirka rapid and returns through the settlement’s lower side to the departure. The circuit exceeds a simple peak ascent. The local operator describes the extended Karatash traverse as difficult, requiring experience, preparation and navigation. Rocky edges and descent need steady footing; refuge services and indoor visits require separate arrangements.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Mountain experience and endurance for the ridge and descent are required. Control dogs and check local restrictions; animal access to refuge services is excluded. Arrange return rail travel beforehand.

Nearby

Khanifa Rock and the separate Bilberry Mountain viewpoint lie on other approaches. Borisov Furnaces and Maly Yamantau need independent extensions; check the neighbouring reserve’s rules separately. Refuge accommodation, sauna and meals require independent bookings.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The refuge confirms train access to Aigir via an Inzer connection, with possible direct Ufa services in certain seasons. Check current services and the return train. Aigir’s rail point lies beside the actual departure; advertised frequencies and timings do not establish a current timetable.
By car
The operator recommends driving to Inzer and continuing by train. It discourages direct Aigir driving because of rough ground and fords, with access dependent on season and water. Vehicle access to high Karatash or Ufa Peak is unconfirmed.
Parking
The refuge describes vehicle storage beside Inzer station or at separately agreed private parking nearby. Check conditions and an authorised space beforehand, then continue by train. Parking at the exact mountain-circuit departure in Aigir is unconfirmed.
