Route description

Petrichenko provides an approach for a woodland circuit towards the Vertunok and the remains of a Finnish watermill. Pause beside the stream to consider the former river activity, then continue between waterside sections of the Vyaryamyanselkya ridge. Svetloye, Morozovskoye, Zarossheye, Kharlampovskoye, Gniloye and Krugloye lakes offer distinct places for a quiet exterior look. Kerzhenets here is a stream rather than another lake. This version follows the official Svetloye Lake trail, but use authorised woodland roads and present signs on the day. View the mill ruins from a secure position without climbing masonry or descending to the water for a photograph. The outing rewards attention to individual named places between woodland passages rather than a beach stop at every lake. It does not establish permission for swimming, fires or overnight camping.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car - Hard With children - With caution With a dog - No data By bike - Yes With a stroller - No Mobile signal - No data The official layout permits cycling, while damp roots and unpaved surfaces need confident control. Take care with children beside ruins and water. The complete woodland circuit is unsuitable for a stroller.

Nearby

The Petyayarvi nature trail begins on another side of the ridge and is not a short continuation. Plan other lakes and the extended Michurinskoye outing separately. The Vertunok watermill is distinct from the former hydroelectric station near Petyayarvi.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 56 м.
SurfaceImproved surface 78%, Unknown 22%.
Риски Roots, sandy ground and damp hollows may slow progress. Keep to a secure passage beside the mill and assess masonry and bridges on the day. Do not ford an unfamiliar watercourse to shorten the circuit.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 3 h 11 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Plan a daylight woodland outing with a mill stop and room for the transport approach. A cycling estimate for the full official trail does not promise a walking duration. Set an ending time in advance rather than rushing through damp woodland to catch a connection.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose snow-free conditions with dry woodland roads. Reconsider low passages after heavy rain and postpone a visit during conservation restrictions. Winter crossing conditions are not guaranteed.
