Route description

Nature’s Book introduces Krasnoyarsk Stolby through the forest beside Laletino Creek. Behind St Innocent’s Chapel at the ranger post, the wooden path follows the creek’s left bank. Slow down to notice waterside vegetation, the forest around the boardwalk and details that are easily overlooked when hurrying. Interpretive panels turn the outing into a self-guided introduction to the national park’s wildlife. Devote this walk to the river valley itself. Equipped rest points offer places to pause and discuss discoveries with children. Arrange the return beforehand: the nature trail leads to its own exit, while reaching the ranger post from the city arrival side remains a separate part of the day.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Children need adult supervision, especially on steps. Level changes and stairs make this unsuitable for a stroller outing. Pets and bicycles are prohibited by park rules. Do not rely on continuous reception in the valley.

Nearby

The passport identifies Zhivoy Klyuchik Spring beside a cross-connection from the trail. It requires a separate branch; establish water quality before drinking. Ask the park about Laletino centre services and themed excursions in advance. As checked on 14 October 2026, Nature’s Book is among the approved trails. Its passport does not require a separate permit for an independent visit; organised excursions require advance arrangements. Check current rules and temporary closures immediately before travel. Any extension towards the rocks must follow currently permitted routes; rock ascents are presently closed for tourist excursions.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The official approach starts at Turbaza bus stop. The park lists buses 19, 50 and 78, with 80 on weekends; check current services and return departures before setting out. Continue on foot along Laletino Road to the ranger post. Allow for this separate approach and the return when choosing an arrival time.
By car
For the central approach, the park gives 140 Sverdlovskaya Street, building 5; its passport describes arrival from the R257 Yenisei road. Continue on foot from the city arrival side to Laletino. Park transport can be requested in advance; arrange service conditions separately. Unrestricted driving on the nature trail is prohibited.
Parking
The approved passport lists two external parking locations on the city side of the central approach. A walk to the ranger post remains. Check present availability, charges and conditions before travelling.

What to expect

Places
St Innocent’s Chapel The chapel at Laletino ranger post marks the arrival area: the nature trail begins behind it. Before entering the boardwalk, pause to look at the small Orthodox chapel from outside.
Laletino Creek The creek is the walk’s main natural feature, followed along its left bank by the boardwalk. Observe the waterside forest and vegetation from the equipped trail; interpretive panels explain the local natural world.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 36 м.
SurfaceDirt 100%.
Риски Steps occur along the boardwalk. After rain and especially during icy conditions, proceed carefully and use handrails where provided. Postpone the outing in strong wind, thunderstorms or when the park reports dangerous dead trees. Do not feed animals or leave the path for waterside vegetation. Expect service vehicles on the external road approach.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 33 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
The park gives roughly half an hour as a guide for passing along the nature trail; panel stops and rests require additional time. Plan the day from your city arrival point, adding the walk to the ranger post and the return. At the marked exit, use a permitted return route; with children, retain time and the option to turn back earlier. Finish in daylight.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
The trail is described as accessible in all seasons. Warmer periods suit observing creek-side vegetation, while autumn reveals changes in the forest. In winter, boardwalk and stair conditions matter most. The park identifies late March to early July as the tick-active period. Check temporary closures due to fire danger, bears or dead trees before every visit.
