Route at a glance

Most of the route stays under tree cover, with clearings and old tracks regularly opening the view. Along the way, mixed woodland, old forest tracks and small clearings are revealed one section at a time. The main line of the experience is formed by Turov, Mikashevichi, Turovskoe Kniazhestvo and Dorogami Turovskogo. They are spaced through the journey so that the area reveals itself gradually.

Getting there

Without a car
Travel by train to Gomel, Rechytsa, Zhlobin or Kalinkavichy, then take a district bus to the settlement near the trailhead. For a point-to-point cycling route, check the return train in advance.
By car
The main approaches use the M5, M8 and M10, followed by district roads. Polesie gravel roads may become waterlogged after prolonged rain.
Parking
Park beside a station, local council, museum or on firm ground in a settlement. Do not park on embankments or forest access roads.

On long paved sections, ride predictably and do not assume that shops will be frequent. Check the bicycle, forecast, and available daylight before departure.
