Route description

The first cycling stage of Kaspersky Race 2021 explores the countryside around Yakutskiye Gory on a broad arc towards Putchino, Nakvasy and Provzhaly. Beyond the venue near Yakuty, the journey heads to the Feliksovo and Putchino sides, then towards the Ussa and Lipki. Near Nakvasy comes Dubovaya Hill, a specific natural reference for this part of the outing. Paderichi, Rudevshchina, Tiskovshchina and Gurnovshchina extend the ride through a wider rural landscape. After crossing the Sula, the journey continues towards Aponovshchina, the Chishevichi side and the Volma. A northern turn reaches Provzhaly before gradually returning towards Yakuty. A named spring appears on the Mikhalevshchina section, offering a small pause before the final country roads. Local landmarks and changing directions between settlements give this version its interest rather than an urban visit to Ivenets. Choose the outing for independent cycling over hilly countryside and varied roads. Allow yourself to dismount on awkward ground, pause at a river passage and explore village surroundings outside a racing pace. Agree use of the starting venue with its operator beforehand: Yakutskiye Gory currently requires a prior request.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car - Hard With children - No With a dog - No data By bike - Partially With a stroller - No Mobile signal - No data The complete stage is intended for a prepared adult cyclist. Prolonged unpaved passages, paths and road connections are unsuitable for an ordinary family outing with children or a stroller. Some places require dismounting; confirm present permissible passage through the old connections and admission to the starting venue. Dog arrangements and continuous reception are unverified. Without a car, bicycle delivery and an early exit are harder to arrange; festival transfers are not regular transport.

Nearby

The former Lensky estate park on the Feliksovo side, the distillery in Virlovichi and Rochevichi church require separate visits. Ivenets and its churches are outside this stage. Parts of the Ussa and Sula passages use road culverts; these are not prepared embankments or promised swimming places. Prepare a separate approach to Dubovaya’s actual summit or a riverside walk beside the Volma independently. Yakutskiye Gory currently operates as an organised-event venue by prior request. The old festival’s cafe, sauna, pool, camping and parking are not permanently available services for this outing. Current course marking and support are also unconfirmed. Agree use of the venue beforehand without extending its private regime automatically to all surrounding country roads.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The mapped Lipki stop beside an early village section can serve as a reference for checking transport. A suitable current service and bicycle carriage are unconfirmed. Reaching the starting venue near Yakuty from it requires a separately prepared approach. Event buses and past festival transfers are not current access arrangements for an independent outing. Agree departure and assistance for an early finish in advance.
By car
Prepare the starting meeting at Yakutskiye Gory near Yakuty village in the Dzerzhinsk district. The operator admits visitors in spring, summer and autumn by prior request; the venue is closed in winter. Agree the date, permissible vehicle approach, bicycle unloading and return beforehand. A former festival start does not provide unrestricted admission on any day. Do not plan the complete outing with this beginning unless venue admission has been established.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Yakutskiye Gory’s operator describes vehicle areas for organised-event guests, but this does not establish a place for an independent cyclist on an arbitrary day. Check whether a car may be kept for the required period and in which agreed area. Arrange this together with admission to the beginning and finish. Country-road shoulders and other people’s entrances do not replace provided storage.

Dubovaya Hill on the Nakvasy Side The named hill beside the outing’s unpaved direction; a separately equipped viewpoint is not implied.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 186 м.
SurfaceCompacted dirt 30%, Asphalt 13%, Dirt 7%, Unknown 47%.
Риски The main demands come from prolonged alternation between country roads, unpaved passages and paths. Sandy ground and changing surfaces occur; after rain, assess grip and your readiness to walk the bicycle. Clarify the current crossing method and approaches at the Volma on the Chishevichi side separately rather than expecting a guaranteed dry bridge. If water conditions are unsuitable or a permissible passage is absent, return to a verified road or finish earlier. Old connections on the return side before Yakuty have no confirmed current continuous passage. Prepare a permissible connection before departure and omit the relevant section if it cannot be established; do not improvise across crops or private plots. Account for traffic at ordinary road crossings. Dubovaya does not imply a dedicated viewpoint, and the spring does not provide verified drinking water or services.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 6 h 6 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Treat this stage as a separate one-day outing with spare daylight. Its exact touring duration is unverified. Agree the venue and check uncertain connections before starting. Useful preparation groups are the Putchino section to Dubovaya; Paderichi and Gurnovshchina; the western passage towards the Volma and Provzhaly; and the return through the Mikhalevshchina side. These groups prescribe neither a pace nor ready food stops. The second stage and former multi-day competition classification are outside this separate outing.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
A dry period with longer daylight is more convenient for this substantial country ride. After spring thaw and persistent rain, check unpaved connections and the river passage separately. Account for heat and your own water reserve in summer. Allow more time to finish before dark in autumn. The starting venue’s operator states that it is closed in winter; snow or frost do not establish suitability of the remaining course.

Adequate drinking water and food; neither the spring nor former aid stations provide confirmed supplies.
