Route description

The second Kaspersky Race 2021 cycling stage has its own character: leaving Yakutskiye Gory westwards, it takes in a broad northern arc through Dushkovo and Ratyntsy. Yakuty and Lipki come first, followed by a road skirting Dubovaya Hill without making the outing a separate summit visit. Beyond Tiskovshchina and Gurnovshchina comes Rochevichi, where Our Lady of Czestochowa Church stands beside the village passage. Kunashi, Virlovichi and Simany lead towards Provzhaly, then the journey continues through the Shelevshchina and Osinovka sides towards Sidorovtsy and Dushkovo. Slow down in Dushkovo beside the old service-building ruins identified as a distillery. The Vygonichanka adds a small river element. Beyond Menki comes the former Ratyntsy manor-yard site, another stop whose past is encountered through remains rather than grand surviving architecture. The return passes on the Leontsy side, through Zolotari and Volmechka, crossing the Volma before continuing towards Lipki and Yakuty. The loop interests riders who enjoy exploring a landscape through villages, small rivers and estate traces. Prepare it as an independent demanding cycle ride, agreeing use of the starting venue and permissible passage through the old country connections beforehand.

Route at a glance

Главное за минуту
Look beyond the sporting name to specific rural history: Rochevichi’s church, Dushkovo’s service-building ruins and the Ratyntsy yard remains, linked by the roads of the broad northern arc. The ride suits prepared cyclists interested in both unpaved passages and small places for pauses. Replace the old racing pace with your own while retaining enough energy for the return through the Volma side.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car - Hard With children - No With a dog - No data By bike - Partially With a stroller - No Mobile signal - No data This prolonged outing is for an adult cyclist experienced with mixed surfaces and independent preparation. The complete version is unsuitable for an ordinary family outing with children or a stroller. Some places require dismounting; current passage through every old connection and admission to the starting venue need clarification. Dog arrangements and continuous reception are unverified. Without a car, prepare bicycle delivery and an early-finish option beforehand.

Nearby

Dushkovo’s chapels, burial vaults and the Bulgak estate’s park pavilion require a separate approach: encountering service-building ruins does not include the entire estate complex. Ratyntsy Boulder and Dubrava’s church are outside the immediate stops. The Mikhalevshchina spring requires a separate approach from this version and cannot provide guaranteed supplies. Dubovaya is encountered from the road; prepare an actual summit visit separately. Ivenets is outside this loop. Yakutskiye Gory admits visitors by prior request in the warmer season. Its pool and sauna are provided within organised events; the old festival’s food, marking, camping and support are not permanent route services. Venue permission does not replace checks of the remaining roads, and its private regime should not be extended automatically to every village passage.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The named Lipki stop on the southern side and Volmechka on the return section are references for independent transport checks. Suitable current services and bicycle carriage are unconfirmed. Neither stop automatically provides an agreed approach to the starting venue. September’s festival buses are not regular transport. Check departure from the chosen side and assistance for an early finish before leaving.
By car
Agree the starting meeting with the Yakutskiye Gory operator near Yakuty in the Dzerzhinsk district. The venue operates by prior request in spring, summer and autumn and is closed in winter. Establish admission on the intended day, unloading and return arrangements in advance. Do not plan the complete version with this beginning without agreed use of the venue. Prepare any support meetings in other villages separately in permissible places clear of residents’ entrances and traffic.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Spaces for organised-event guests at Yakutskiye Gory do not establish vehicle-storage permission for an independent cyclist. Check whether the area may be used on the intended day and for the required period together with admission to the beginning and finish. If no place is provided, prepare another permitted option and the return separately. Yards beside old buildings, road exits and village shoulders are not ready parking arrangements.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainДанные по набору высоты уточняются.
SurfaceCompacted dirt 27%, Asphalt 14%, Improved surface 7%, Unknown 42%.
Риски Local roads, compacted passages, earth surfaces and paths call for different speeds and energy reserves. Old field connections on the northern side and before returning towards Lipki have no confirmed current continuous passage. Establish a permissible connection before departure. If it cannot be confirmed, omit the relevant section or finish earlier without bypassing obstacles across crops or private yards. After rain, assess river passages and culverts beside the Vygonichanka and Volma separately. A guaranteed dry bridge is not promised at the eastern Volma crossing. Return to a verified road if conditions are unsuitable. Stop clear of the carriageway beside the church and ruins. In Dushkovo and at Ratyntsy’s yard, do not enter beneath old walls or treat service buildings as open visitor attractions.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 8 h 37 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Allow a one-day outing with substantial spare daylight for this separate stage; its exact touring duration is unverified. Agree the starting venue, check uncertain connections and select early finishing places beforehand. Useful preparation groups are Lipki–Rochevichi; Virlovichi and the northern arc; Dushkovo and Ratyntsy; then the return through Volmechka. These are groups of places rather than a ready timetable or confirmed food stops. The first stage and former multi-day competition classification are outside this separate ride.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose dry weather in the warmer season with sufficient daylight. Check unpaved connections and small river passages after spring thaw and prolonged rain. Water reserves and rest opportunities matter in summer; an early start and spare daylight matter in autumn. The operator closes the starting venue in winter, and winter suitability of the other rural sections is unconfirmed.
