Route description

Water gives the Beaver Backwater walk its structure. Pererov Reservoir opens a broader view between the trees, while the Pererovnitsa River brings attention back to a smaller bank and moving water. The woodland path changes the setting without requiring a long expedition. Walk quietly and pause where there is a clear chance to look towards the water. The path’s name encourages observation, without making wildlife an appointment. Listen to the forest, find an interesting view of the reservoir and take time beside the river while keeping safely back from the edge. Interpretation stops point out woodland details; the place rewards attentive walking more than a hurried collection of photographs. This is the Pererov part of Bialowieza Forest, away from its main visitor centre. Arrange access and a return meeting before arriving. After the water-side outing, nearby park places can become separate visits rather than an assumed extension of the walk.
