Route description

This walk begins at the Beshenka Pool rest place on the Beshenka and descends towards the lower paths above Krasnaya Polyana. Mountain water remains close to the start before the path returns beneath the forest canopy. Choose this version to finish an earlier ascent to the pool quietly, noticing the river’s bends and changing light between trees. The place name does not grant permission to bathe: swimming is prohibited in the Caucasus Nature Reserve. Pause beside the water on the permitted trail and arrange your return to the lower entrance beforehand.
