Route description

This version of the Fern Trail introduces one woodland section beside Polyana 960. Walk slowly and look beyond the path ahead: ferns, the damp forest floor and nearby Tobias Stream give the outing its intimate scale. Resort activity stays beyond the trees, while the short passage provides a separate introduction to this side of the mountain. The selected version begins and ends at different places in the woodland corridor. It does not reproduce the entire official Fern Trail circuit or promise the musical station and wildlife observation area. Establish access to the correct entrance and a return from the other end before setting out. Use open marked paths and arrange the national park permit in advance.

Without a car
The official Krasnaya Polyana Resort guide describes Lastochka trains to Estosadok with an onward transfer, and buses from Sochi and Adler. Arrange the ascent to the upper resort level and the approach to this particular woodland branch.
By car
The road arrival on the lower resort side uses the A-149. Confirm delivery to the appropriate upper level and the later meeting place. A vehicle cannot replace the walk inside the Fern Trail corridor.
Parking
The resort lists parking at Polyana 540 and Polyana 960. Check conditions and availability together with the delivery to the woodland entrance. Parking immediately beside the end of this section is unconfirmed.
