Route description

From the southern edge of Mentlberg, the path enters woodland towards Natters. The ascent itself shapes the outing: gravel underfoot, turns between trees and shaded stretches replace the city setting. The selected walk ends at a woodland junction where you must choose any onward direction independently. Its name points towards Natterer See, but this outing never reaches the lake shore. Mentlberg Castle and the pilgrimage church stand beyond the forest start and need separate approaches. Use the path for a short city-side woodland escape or as the beginning of a longer Natters visit, with the return included in your own plan.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Reach Mentlberg by bus and add the independent approach to the start. Children need to manage the uneven uphill walk. Rough forest gravel prevents reliable stroller passage; forestry access does not establish ordinary cycling permission. Dog rules and continuous reception are unconfirmed.

Nearby

Mentlberg Castle and the pilgrimage church need separate approaches beyond the start. Natterer See and Natters require an extension beyond the woodland junction and are not included in this short outing.

Getting there

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 262 м.
SurfaceGravel 100%.
Риски Rough gravel and the uneven ascent call for stable footwear. Take wet turns carefully after rain and obey any forestry-work instructions. Reaching the upper junction does not complete your travel plan: arrange the return descent or onward walk beforehand.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Time for the route 30–45 min
With stops | 45–60 min This editorial allowance covers only the selected forest ascent. Add the bus approach, return descent and any extension to the lake separately.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose a snow-free day with dry footing. Wet autumn leaves hide stones; this variant cannot automatically be treated as a cleared winter path.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
Grippy footwear, water and a small snack.
Rain protection and a warm layer for shaded stops.
Charged phone and an agreed return direction.
