Route description

The A. A. Zavyalov Ski Centre in Telmana provides the beginning of this woodland outing. From its building, the course heads west and develops into a succession of bends among trees. Keep attention on direction: a straight beginning gives way to turns and different sides of the woodland portion, with each new place helping you choose a comfortable pace. The western bend enters the eastern part of Borovsky Kurgan Nature Monument. Meet its protected woodland setting while keeping to the existing course and avoiding new branches. Being within this territory does not establish a visit to the ancient settlement’s summit, which requires a different approach. Check present access and ski-surface preparation before visiting. The course continues through eastern and southeastern turns before returning to the centre side. Its ending lies near the beginning’s area, but the approach to your meeting place needs a separate check. Choose this version for the woodland skiing sequence itself: prepare beside a clear landmark, enter the protected forest on the western bend and negotiate the remaining turns attentively. Choose classic or skating technique according to present snow preparation, pausing clear of other skiers’ movement.
