Route description

The ski passage starts on the first mountain above Chertovy Gate and heads west through mountain terrain to Kamkinskoye hut, known as Dvukhetazhka. It is a separate portion of a Khamar-Daban journey: settlements and the complete approach to the start lie outside the programme. Alternating ridges, slopes and the descent towards upper Rassokha require confident ski handling and mountain navigation. The named hut makes the finish specific, but its present condition, entry and overnight availability are unconfirmed. Carry your own reserve equipment and agree a continuation or return beforehand. Winter mountain scenery comes with responsibility for assessing snow conditions.

Nearby

Bosan Peak and the onward journey to Margasanskaya Hill lie beyond this finish. Chertovy Gate’s actual saddle and Chertovo Lake require an approach before the first-mountain start. Entering the hut or staying inside needs separate confirmation.
