Route description

This mountain version starts directly on Dragon’s Tooth summit and descends towards Mountain Spirits Lake. It first leaves the upper rocky ground, then passes the bankside of Boys Lake in the Coloured Lakes group and Shukhart Lake. It finishes at Mountain Spirits Lake. Prepare the ascent to the initial summit and the onward road exit separately. This is a technically demanding descent: a lake-to-lake journey does not remove its rocky difficulties. The park lists the corresponding mountain journeys as requiring special accompaniment; agree the selected sequence and register the visit. Stones, steep passages and scrambling demand confident mountain skills. Choose settled weather and preserve a margin for safe departure beyond the lake.
