Route description

From the Shukharta Lake side, this version first approaches Tumannoe Lake, also called Warm Lake. A short repeated lake approach allows time to examine the mountain basin before moving onto rocky slopes. The outing then changes character as the path climbs among rock shelves and smooth stone surfaces towards a ridge junction below Dragon’s Tooth. The ending is at the meeting with another mountain route; reaching the summit requires a separate ascent. This version introduces the lake side of the celebrated rock massif and provides a ridge-side stopping point for a suitably prepared group. Tumannoe is seasonal, so a water-filled basin cannot be promised throughout summer. Dry weather, an experienced guide and a planned descent matter more than pressing on towards the summit.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car - Hard With children - No With a dog - No data By bike - No With a stroller - No Mobile signal - No data Confident movement on mountain rock and shelves, route choice and an agreed descent are necessary. The short passage is unsuitable for a family leisure walk, bicycle or stroller. Dog rules and reception are unestablished. Without a car, arrange lower arrival and the long approach to the lake area separately.

Nearby

Dragon’s Tooth requires a separate ascent from the junction. Shukharta Lake lies outside the selected beginning and needs its own shore approach. Coloured Lakes and the Mountain Spirits-side path belong to another version and are not automatically included.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 485 м.
SurfaceТип покрытия пока не определён.
Риски Rock shelves, smooth stone and locally unclear marks demand mountain experience. Reconsider ordinary summer plans on wet or icy rock. Decide protection equipment and rope needs according to actual slope conditions. This approach’s assessment cannot be transferred to the separate summit route. Check current bear warnings with the directorate beforehand; a lake pause establishes neither safe bathing nor overnight permission.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 1 h 36 min

Time for the route | Unestablished With stops | Unestablished The complete junction-ascent duration is unconfirmed. The repeated lake approach, navigation and rocky sections affect progress. Add reaching the beginning and the complete descent separately; the summit ascent is excluded.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose settled, dry, snow-free weather after checking the upper slopes. Snow can remain in shade, while rain quickly changes traction on stone. Tumannoe’s water depends on the season; Warm Lake’s name does not promise warm water.
