Route description

The Oak Trail walk beside the Zamshanka offers a close look at woodland managed by Pozhezhinsky Forestry. Move slowly between the interpretation stops and pause beside the stream to notice water slipping between the trees. This small watercourse changes the scale of the visit: reflections, bark and the ground beside the bank become worth studying. The Pozhezhinsky King Oak lies near the southern side of the walk, but reaching the tree itself requires a separate approach. Ask the forestry service about access and add that visit to your plans if you want a closer look. The woodland stops encourage conversation about trees, while the Zamshanka supplies a specific named landmark beside this selected walk. Leave time to read the explanations and return without hurrying. The official Oak Trail programme covers a longer excursion, so agree the visiting arrangements for this shorter option separately.
