Route description

From Kilpola, the boat follows island passages towards the Kurkiniemi headland. The lighthouse appears at the shoreline, with the small Yesusaret group nearby. The outing gradually opens towards broader Lake Ladoga: close green shores give way to rocky headlands, and the waterside view of the lighthouse provides a natural destination. The ending lies beside Yesusaret, making this a one-way passage. The author’s broader excursion includes Kocherga and a chapel visit, although this version does not enter the bay’s inner reaches or promise a walk ashore. Decide beforehand whether to paddle back or arrange collection at an authorised landing. Postpone the headland passage when waves make it unsuitable.

SurfaceТип покрытия пока не определён.
Риски Sheltered passages give way to more exposed water near the headland and Yesusaret. Returning to the base may mean paddling against the wind. Agree landings and walks separately; park admission does not authorise camping anywhere.

How much time to allow

Расчётное время в пути 3 h 10 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Plan a daylight one-way passage with allowance for waiting beside a sheltered shore. Total time including the return, lighthouse and chapel visits is unconfirmed. The broader overnight excursion’s duration does not apply directly to this version.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose the open-water season and a calm headland forecast. A warm dry change remains useful in summer. Cold water and shorter daylight make a prearranged return particularly valuable.
