Route description

This crossing links Alauddin Lake with the western Fann Mountains over Chimtarga Pass. Small Piyola lies among the rocks on the approach, before the familiar lakeside landscape gives way to a stark mountain basin. The saddle between Chimtarga and Energia reveals the other side of the massif, where the descent leads towards Buzurg Alo and the Zindon gorge. At Buzurg Alo, pause to take in the water and the scale of the surrounding rock walls. The lake feels especially vivid after the pass. Continuing through the Zindon and Amshud valleys gradually brings you out of the high mountains, joining contrasting parts of the Fanns in one journey.

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 10 h 38 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Plan several walking days for this link, roughly 3–4, with separate allowances for acclimatisation and bad weather. This is a planning estimate; daily stages depend on snow, the group and agreed overnight locations. Transfers are additional.
