Route description

Elensky Bor preserves the memory of two forest farmsteads, Gritsuki and Matski. Their residents farmed while also guarding entrances to the forest. On this bicycle outing from Kamenyuki, settlement history meets present-day water restoration: at Plyanta, canals retain moisture again for the surrounding woodland. Pause here to see an ordinary-looking forest hollow as part of a larger recovery. The Hermit Oak comes early in the outing, followed by sandy roads, compartment clearings and former working landscapes. This circuit suits a cyclist interested in reading a forest road that changes after rain, as well as riding along smooth asphalt.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
The park rates Elensky Bor a difficult bicycle route: sand and earth demand handling skills. It suits confident teenage forest-road riders accompanied by an adult. Choose an easier outing for small children; domestic animals are prohibited.

Nearby

The nature museum adds context about the animals and plants mentioned along the way; its visit is separate. The Lake Ring near Plyanta is a different walking route: it does not replace the continuation toward Elensky Bor.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The park’s official approach uses rail to Brest and a bus or minibus to the Kamenyuki visitor entrance. Leave a margin for sandy sections when choosing the return service; check carriage of your own bicycle with the operator.
By car
From Brest, follow P83 to Kamenyuki. The ride starts and finishes at the same visitor entrance, allowing you to arrange car storage there and continue by bicycle after admission.
Parking
Current parking conditions at the visitor entrance are not confirmed. Ask the administration about permitted vehicle storage and its hours; a forest clearing turn-off is not an agreed place for a car.
