Route description

On the southern side of Belovezhskaya Pushcha, forest roads lead through Borushichi and Kislyaki to the place named Animal Crossing. Wildlife finds it easier to cross the road cutting in a moraine ridge here; look for signs and keep watching rather than expecting a guaranteed bison encounter. Borushichi tells of drainage and water returning, while Kislyaki records a raised floodplain site and vanished households. An oak that survived lightning shifts attention from human history back to the life of an old tree. The bicycle circuit combines forest-road riding with stops at specific places, and part of the approach is seen again on the return. It offers a thoughtful introduction to the southern forest, where evocative names identify real natural and historical locations.

Route at a glance

Главное за минуту
Borushichi, Kislyaki and Animal Crossing offer three distinct stories: wetland restoration, a former settlement and the ways forest animals move. They are good reasons to pause at the signs rather than race around the circuit.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
This bicycle circuit requires confidence on earth roads. Children need suitable experience and constant adult accompaniment; a wildlife encounter cannot be planned as a guaranteed stop. Domestic animals are prohibited.

Nearby

The nature museum and visitor enclosures at the tourist complex can be visited separately with additional tickets. Royal Meadow is beside the circuit’s first section; reaching its recreation area is a separate small continuation along a permitted road.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
Buses and minibuses from Brest reach Kamenyuki on the approach published by the park. From other cities, first travel by rail to Brest. Leave a margin for earth roads and stops when planning the return; check bicycle carriage beforehand.
By car
P83 leads from Brest to the visitor entrance. The circuit returns to Kamenyuki, so the car stays at the lower approach; driving on the park’s internal service roads requires separate permission.
Parking
No current parking conditions are confirmed at the entrance. Agree vehicle storage with the tourist office. Do not rely on permitted car storage beside the tracts or forest interpretation stops.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Time for the route 2.5–3.5 h
With stops | 4–5 h This allowance covers the bicycle circuit including its returns over familiar sections. Walking requires about five to six hours before lengthy visits. Stops at the tracts and pond need more time; agree the hire return beforehand.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
A warm dry day is easier for the earth-road sections. Water especially affects the marshy tracts in spring; summer requires insect protection. Morning or evening wildlife signs are interesting but do not justify staying beyond permitted visiting hours.

What to bring
