Route description

Doamnei Valley offers another perspective on the ascent from the lower Bâlea side. Instead of stopping on the short cascade walk, this passage enters the forest and continues towards Curmătura Bâlei Pass. Bâlea River accompanies the lower beginning. Higher up, pause where the valleys meet and see how neighbouring slopes change the familiar view of the visitor road. This variant reaches the upper Bâlea side, while the lake shores need additional approaches. Imnul Transfăgărășan Memorial stands near the finish as a small roadside-history stop. Decide a descent or separately agreed upper collection before setting out. Walk through the valley at a steady pace, retaining time for the upper pause and a safe conclusion.
