Route description

This woodland section of the Adventure Trail reveals Borjomula valley beyond the town’s usual strolling area. The path passes beside the Tsar’s Sulfur Pools, then follows wooded slopes and returns towards the river in the Sadgeri direction. Even near the resort, roots, narrow ground and the gradient of a real woodland path become more apparent. View the open-air pool complex from the adjoining path; bathing requires separate entry and time. Beyond it, the outing follows the wooded road around the river valley before approaching the water again. This version begins and ends on woodland approaches, so access from Central Park and the return to town need their own plan.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car - Hard With children - With caution With a dog - No data By bike - No With a stroller - No Mobile signal - No data Public transport reaches Borjomi, but this section starts and ends on separate woodland approaches towards Sadgeri. Narrow steep ground and a river crossing need secure walking; suitability for children depends on current conditions. Dog rules and signal here are unconfirmed.

Nearby

Borjomi Central Park and its mineral spring are outside this woodland section. St Seraphim of Sarov church and the full Adventure Trail town circuit require separate continuations and extra time.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainДанные по набору высоты уточняются.
SurfaceImproved surface 83%, Dirt 17%.
Риски Steep narrow ground and a river crossing require care. A historical bridge account does not establish its present condition: check a safe crossing before approaching the water and abandon it with strong flow or damaged construction. Wet roots complicate descending.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Time for the route 1.5–2 h
With stops | 2–3 h This covers the selected woodland section, excluding town access, return and a pool visit. If bathing is planned, allow separate time and check opening. This passage is not the complete circuit from Borjomi Central Park.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose dry weather and a calm river. Checking the crossing is particularly important after rain or during snowmelt. Winter operation of the pools does not establish ice-free access along the entire woodland path.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
Grippy footwear for roots and damp woodland slopes.
Water, snacks, waterproofs and weather-appropriate warm clothing.
Approach mapping and a light; bring a towel and spare clothing only for a separately planned pool visit.
