Route description

At review, the official map lists Hundred Firs as planned for opening; walk only after the resort confirms access. The Hundred Firs trail leaves the Tundra and Driada interchange for the shaded side of Rosa Khutor, descending through woodland above Rosa Stadium. Large trees, the wooden figures of The Stash and the shore of Verkhneye Lake give this part of the resort a different character. It is a walk for noticing details and pausing beside unusual forest sculptures. Arrange the return before descending: the lower end is not automatically a boarding point for an operating lift.

Route at a glance

Главное за минуту
Check the resort’s current access arrangements before visiting. The Stash reveals how a winter sports space fits into a real mountain forest. In summer its wooden figures and surrounding firs draw the eye, while Verkhneye Lake offers a more open scene further along the walk. The contrast creates a rewarding woodland visit rather than a simple journey between stations.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car - Hard With children - With caution With a dog - No data By bike - No With a stroller - No Mobile signal - No data Public transport reaches the resort, but the approach and walking return require a substantial energy reserve. Children need to cope confidently with a mountain descent and a possible climb back. Dog admission and continuous mobile coverage are unconfirmed. Hunting dog breeds are prohibited in the national park; the park recommends leaving other pets at home too. Check any additional rules for the specific outing with the operator.

Nearby

Labyrinth is a separate approach from Zapovedny Forest to the upper starting area and belongs in the complete day plan. The Yuryev Khutor cirque lies above the interchange but requires a separate guided outing. Combining both walks needs careful calculation of the return.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
Take a Lastochka train to Rosa Khutor station, where the resort confirms a free shuttle to the resort. Continue by the Olympia and Zapovedny Forest lifts, then approach on the Labyrinth trail. Check train times, the last permitted descent and the return from the lower end of Hundred Firs before leaving.
By car
Drive to Rosa Dolina in Esto-Sadok, then use the resort’s lifts and paths to reach the trail. Private car access to the upper starting point is unconfirmed. Ask the operator to explain a practical return arrangement.
Parking
The operator confirms P 1, P 3 and P 6 car parks in Rosa Dolina. Check current charges and allow time to return and pay. Summer parking at the lower end of the walking trail is unconfirmed.

What to expect

Places
The Stash forest park The wooded setting of the winter snowpark, with wooden figures beside the summer walking route.
Verkhneye Lake A named snowmaking reservoir on the way towards Rosa Stadium; the walk follows its western shore.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 65 м.
SurfaceТип покрытия пока не определён.
Риски Damp forest ground demands care during the descent. The Stash is not an invitation to use winter sports features independently in summer. The principal practical issue is the return: the current Wolf Rock lift description specifies a round trip without disembarking below, so boarding from the lower trail endpoint must be confirmed separately.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 1 h 12 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
The operator allows about two hours downhill and two hours fifty minutes uphill on Hundred Firs. Reserve two to three hours for this section with stops, then add the Labyrinth approach, lift travel and the agreed return. Walking back up the same trail and Labyrinth creates a long day: check that it fits the permitted opening hours and shorten the outing if there is no comfortable margin.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose dry weather during the officially open summer or early autumn walking season. The forest provides shade but can stay damp after rain. The Stash has a different purpose in winter, so this walking plan should not be transferred to the snow season.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
Grippy walking shoes and poles for the descent.
Rain protection and a warm layer.
Water, food and a small first-aid kit.
Charged phone with a saved map, national park permit and a confirmed return plan.
