Route description

From the upper resort area, the path enters Cirque 1’s Alpine Meadows and reaches an old atsanguar. Amid the flowering slope, its stone enclosure can resemble natural scattered rock, yet it belongs to early medieval pastoral life. Pause beside it to examine the stones and consider how these meadows were used long before cableways appeared. The passage continues through open mountain ground, with a separate walk back to the upper station. Flowers change with the season, and seeing chamois remains a possibility rather than a promised event.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Operating cableways remove the need for a private car. The descent into Cirque 1 and return require steady walking; children need mountain-path experience. This version is unsuitable for a stroller or bicycle. Dog access and full-section reception are unconfirmed.

Nearby

Aibga 1 and Aibga 2 summits lie farther along a mountain continuation and are excluded from the atsanguar walk. Black Pyramid and the Cirque 3 lakes are different resort outings, best planned separately.

Getting there

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 238 м.
SurfaceImproved surface 68%, Unknown 32%.
Риски Wind and sudden thunderstorms matter on the open slope. Rain makes the descent slippery; avoid shortcuts across steep grass. Leave the enclosure’s stones untouched. A national-park permit is required, and the resort can close the path; confirm permission for your specific outing.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Time for the route 1–1.5 h for this section
With stops | 2–3 h including return The selected passage ends on the Cirque 1 side, so add the return to Poliana 2200. Allow 2–3 h for the permitted mountain outing, with separate time for ascent and descent by cableway. The official complete radial trail’s approximately 2.5 h is a reference; its current arrangement may differ.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Plan the walk during the open snow-free season with settled weather. Flowering changes from the first snow-free patches through summer; rhododendrons are not guaranteed each day. Autumn snowfall and cableway maintenance can end access earlier than expected.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
Grippy footwear and familiar walking poles if preferred.
A windproof jacket, rain protection and a warm layer.
Water, food, sun protection, an offline return map and permit documents.
