Route description

Khrustalny lies on a wooded slope beside the old road towards Krasnaya Polyana. This outing uses paths above Mzymta valley, with part of the forest approach walked again before the waterfall stop. Shade and the wet rock wall make the cascade a distinct destination. Stay at a safe viewing position rather than climbing beside the falling stream. Both ends are within the forest section, so arrange the road entrance and return approach beforehand. This is the Mzymta-side Khrustalny; descriptions of falls on other tributaries do not replace local orientation.
