Route description

At Belokamennaya, the city gives way quickly: beyond the entrance pergola lie the woodland paths of Losiny Ostrov. Before putting on skis, pause beside the wire elk sculptures, a distinctive landmark near the station. The selected passages then enter the woods, taking in a western branch and short eastern loops of the marked ski network. This is a chance to exchange the sound of the orbital railway for winter forest without a long journey out of Moscow. This variant does not cover the complete marked circuit: plan the branch sequence and return to Belokamennaya using the entrance map, and check snow conditions before travelling.
