Route description

Sokolka on the edge of Istra is a sloping woodland with a dense network of paths. A ski outing here unfolds through turns, modest climbs and returns to familiar junctions. The western side approaches the Pesochna valley, while the eastern side reaches the woods above Sokolin Spring. The network offers a winter excursion without a long crossing to another settlement. This option brings together several Sokolka ski loops. Choose the order of open branches and the exit back to your arrival point beforehand. The modern forest park is developing, so follow its current layout and on-site signs. A day with snow preparation confirmed leaves more attention for the woods and smooth movement between climbs.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 60 м.
SurfaceТип покрытия пока не определён.
Риски Take particular care at woodland junctions and on descents. Some branches intersect or return to familiar points; this is not one simple perimeter circuit. Observe skiing-direction signs and avoid opposing traffic on a prepared piste. Thaws can leave ice, while fresh snowfall may leave branches unprepared.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 1 h 2 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
A verified duration for this combination of loops is not established. Decide which branches to use, where to finish skiing and how to return to the entrance. The approach from the station or road arrival is additional. End a first visit in daylight with time to locate the correct exit.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Winter skiing depends on adequate snow and an open piste. Check the particular woodland branches, not only a central prepared piste. The modern asphalt or walking circuit may follow a different alignment. Spring thawing and refreezing can sharply change conditions on the slopes.
