Route description

Beyond Podosinki a woodland road leads towards the Nerskaya, a river around which local outdoor traditions have long developed. Its clearings invite a pause with a flask, a look at the water and a gradual escape from urban noise. The most memorable stop is Chudesarium, a wooden tree house in a forest clearing. Today it is best enjoyed as an unusual woodland scene: the timber has weathered, so admire it from the ground. After the riverside section the journey continues towards Sobolevo and then follows woodland roads to Antsiferovo. The mood changes along this substantial station-to-station walk, from lively picnic clearings beside the water to a more focused passage through the woods. Allow time for both parts so a pleasant stop at the tree house does not leave you rushing the final section.

Children need experience of long walks and an adult willing to shorten the plan in advance. Rutrail recommends cycling only the Podosinki–Sobolevo section, not the whole traverse to Antsiferovo. Dog rules and reliable signal are unconfirmed. Wet paths and local crossings make a stroller impractical.

Nearby

Antsiferovo village lies northeast of the riverside section. Treat a village visit or a separate local excursion as an addition, since the full woodland traverse already requires a generous time allowance. For another sporting outing in the Nerskaya basin, consider the author’s Podosinki–Zolotovo direction.

Without a car
Podosinki and Antsiferovo are served by Kazan-direction suburban trains. Plan to start at Podosinki and return from Antsiferovo, checking current stops and timetables before departure. Identify the platform approach and woodland entrance on arrival, using only authorised railway crossings.
By car
Rutrail describes road access to the area via Yegoryevskoye Shosse. Leave the vehicle near the settled area and continue on foot. Arrange a separate return to the vehicle or a meeting at the finish because the walk ends at Antsiferovo.
Parking
An official car park serving this walking variation’s start has not been confirmed. Choose a lawful space near the settlement and keep platform approaches and forest entrances clear. A picnic clearing beside the river does not imply authorised vehicle access.

A shorter exit from Sobolevo requires separate preparation: confirm the current bus service and stop before the walk.

Dry weather from late spring to early autumn makes footwear and river approaches easier to judge. Allow for wet hollows in spring and after rain, and mosquitoes in summer. Winter travel depends on current snow and ice; an older winter account does not establish a groomed ski trail. Check riverside access before dates of large events.
