Route description

The summer path from Skolkovo station to Strogino suits a run with a definite direction and a few recognisable places along the way. Through Nemchinovka it reaches the Chachenka Stream side, then follows the woodland side of Romashkovo. Instead of the winter diversion through several clearings, this version has its own passage beside Hidden Ravine, a seasonal watercourse in a woodland depression, and the southern side of High Glade, also known as Bald Hill. In dry weather, these places form a prolonged evening journey from a suburban station to a Moscow neighbourhood. Urban Strogino streets eventually follow the woodland connections, with a separate walk to the metro. A pause beside the ravine or the clearing need not turn the entire run into a guided excursion. Choose your own rhythm and retain energy for the final urban passage. The summer version is particularly appropriate when the forest is free of drifts and its paths remain passable.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
For a prepared runner comfortable with woodland paths and a prolonged independent outing. The complete run is not recommended as a children’s outing. Stroller access, cycling through every connection and dog arrangements for the whole journey are not separately confirmed.

Nearby

Beer Glade and Agregatnaya Glade belong to the other winter continuation; plan a separate woodland walk to them. Troitse-Lykovo’s estate side and the Moscow River can provide reasons to return with more time, but interiors and direct riverbank access are not included in this run. A separate Strogino neighbourhood walk can follow the finish, allowing for your own approach to the metro.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
Take MCD-1 to Skolkovo. The departure is beside the station, after a short approach from the platform to the appropriate road side. The final point is in urban Strogino; continue separately to Strogino metro along authorised streets and crossings. Check train services and the last suitable metro departures before an evening start.
By car
A lawful Skolkovo station drop-off can be followed by a separate collection on Strogino’s urban roads. If you drive yourself, plan the return to your car separately. Do not rely on car support through Romashkovo Forest.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Plan a lawful Skolkovo drop-off and return from Strogino before travelling. Check the conditions at your chosen vehicle stopping place without obstructing woodland entrances or crossings.

What to expect

Places
Chachenka Stream an actual small watercourse beside the Nemchinovka passage; observe from dry ground without entering the water.
Hidden Ravine the named seasonal woodland watercourse beside the summer path itself; permanent water is not promised.
High Glade (Bald Hill) an actual open clearing beside the summer passage through Romashkovo Forest.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 262 м.
SurfaceDirt 28%, Asphalt 26%, Improved surface 8%, Unknown 29%.
Риски Rain can leave woodland depressions and the ravine side wet, with slippery roots. Summer paths change, so check local barriers and present connections before a prolonged outing. Do not descend towards the watercourse over an unstable slope. Use authorised crossings at roads and the railway. Residential evening lighting does not guarantee illumination inside the forest.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 3 h 8 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Around 2 hours of movement is a reference for a prepared runner on dry surfaces. With pauses, heat or wet conditions, allow up to 3 hours for the outing itself. This is an independent estimate, rather than a confirmed current group pace. Add the journey to Skolkovo and the urban metro approach after finishing separately. A full walking duration is not established.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose snow-free weather with dry, passable woodland paths. In summer, a cooler start is preferable and adequate water remains useful. During spring and autumn, consider mud and daylight length. The author specifically warns that winter buries some summer paths: the snowy season has a different version diverting through Beer Glade and Agregatnaya Glade.
