Route description

Three independent directions branch from Nalychevo’s central area here. The western one crosses Pinachevsky Pass and the Semyonovsky area towards Pinachevo. The northern one passes Babye Lake’s woodland side, Malysh Pass and Talovskiye ranger post, then ends beside Dzendzur’s fumarole area. The southern one leads via the Aag mineral springs and Shumnaya Waterfall towards the Avachinsky side, followed by a separate road descent. Treat this journey as a choice of different park areas requiring their own arrangements. Each outing needs permission, a return plan and checked crossings. Thermal bathing, museum exhibition access and accommodation need separate agreements.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car - Hard With children - With caution With a dog - With caution By bike - No data With a stroller - No Mobile signal - Poor The park advises against its ordinary summer passages for children under ten. Older children need preparation for long mountain walks, water sections and poor visibility. Keep dogs leashed. Cycling arrangements for all directions are unconfirmed. Ordinary reception is absent beyond the lower ranger posts, making another communication method necessary.

Nearby

Nalychevo and Kraevedcheskiye bathing areas, Ivanov Gryphon and the specific Talovskiye thermal pools need separate approaches: passing a ranger-post area does not include bathing. The Semyonov Centre’s exhibition and guest houses are separate services. Beyond Dzendzur’s fumarole area, the northern saddle and further panoramas are outside this outing. Avachinsky, Koryaksky and Zhupanovsky summits, and both Camel rocks, are not claimed as summits reached by these directions.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
Regular delivery to the central start and services between all three endings are unconfirmed. First arrange permitted arrival in the central area, then collection for the chosen direction. The Pinachevo outing finishes on one road side and the southern outing on another; the northern Dzendzur ending requires its own return walking plan. Avoid relying on an unplanned vehicle arrival in this remote area.
By car
For the western outing, agree collection on the Pinachevo road side. The southern section includes a further road exit towards the Petropavlovsk–Yelizovo bypass; check the riverbed approach and meeting separately. On the Avachinsky side itself, vehicle access ends at the parking beside Kamchatintur base, with the mountain continuation on foot. Delivery into the central area through Radygino requires fresh confirmation of the road and permission.
Parking
Vehicle access on the Avachinsky side ends at the parking beside Kamchatintur base. Agree whether you may leave a car there, the permitted period and any onward meeting beforehand. This does not resolve arrangements for the western and northern outings. Central-area infrastructure does not establish private-car access to every walking start.

What to expect

Places
Exterior of the Semyonov Education Centre The named education centre near the western outing’s start. It connects with Kamchatka’s exploration history; plan exhibition access separately.
Pinachevsky Pass The western direction’s saddle before descending towards Pinachevo. It connects the central valley and lower woodland side; the outlook depends on visibility.
Semyonovsky ranger-post area The named park site beyond the pass side on the way towards Pinachevo. Entering rooms and accommodation need separate arrangements.
Woodland surroundings of Babye Lake The wooded lake side on the northern outing. The passage goes past the water, with no included shore descent or bathing.
Malysh Pass on the northern outing The specific pass landmark between Babye and the Talovaya valley. Rain and fog call for care with footing and the correct continuation.
Exterior side of Talovskiye ranger post The named ranger-post area before continuing towards Dzendzur. A guest house in the programme does not automatically include accommodation or bathing.
Dzendzur fumarole area The specific volcanic area at the northern ending. The approach explores the exterior caldera terrain; check the safe boundary around thermal outlets separately.
Aag mineral springs The named mineral springs on the southern direction. Check current water quality separately rather than drinking on the strength of an old map label.
Shumnaya Waterfall The specific waterfall on the southern outing. Its exterior approach does not establish a usable bridge; check crossing conditions before leaving.
Viewpoint towards Camel extrusion The specific viewpoint on the southern outing’s lower side. See the rock formation from outside; both upper rocks are not claimed as reached summits.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 1507 м.

Риски On the western outing, take care on Pinachevsky’s saddle and the descent. The northern one involves a pass, wet woodland and the slope approach beside Zhelob; check safe boundaries around thermal outlets. The southern direction crosses exposed volcanic terrain and the Shumnaya. The park reported a washed-out bridge in summer: check the present crossing rather than planning your own ford or snowfield bypass in advance.

How much time to allow

Расчётное время в пути 1 d 10 h

Complete duration including initial approaches and returns is unconfirmed. A day-by-day plan is not established. Choose a particular direction first, then agree stages, alternatives and accommodation for any multi-day arrangement. The northern outing ends beside the fumarole area without an automatically included return. The southern road section needs separate arrangements after the mountain passage. Ordinary two- and three-day park programmes do not establish a schedule for this entire version.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Summer walking directions are published for June–October. After the temporary cyclone restriction, the park announced visits could resume on 9 October, though this does not establish the condition of every crossing. Check pass snow, autumn water, wind and the particular side’s opening for your date. Winter directions use other travel modes and are currently closed.
