Route description

Bolshaya Voyla explores a part of the Torgashinsky Ridge where a woodland stream meets the rocky spurs of Veera. In the southern circuit section, the path passes beside the massif. Stone ledges descend one after another, inviting a closer look from the safe forest passage. From here, the described direction turns toward the eastern side and climbs beside the Bolshaya Voyla, linking its stream gully with the upper woodland roads. After reaching the northern Zagorye-2 allotment side, the circuit turns toward the other slope. Woodland bends lead back down and eventually toward the rocky area again. The outing brings together two encounters: attentive passage beside water and the forms of Veera. The massif’s upper point needs a separate approach and is outside the ordinary circuit. Join the path from the north after an agreed drop-off at Zagorye-2 to change the order of sections. With city transport, the forest circuit becomes the central part of a longer day. The stream gully and rock setting provide its interest, so choose conditions allowing time to look around without rushing wet descents.

Route at a glance

Главное за минуту
For the Bolshaya Voyla and the lower side of Veera: the woodland stream shapes one half of the walk, while cascading rock spurs give the southern section its character. Returning over the other slope creates a circuit through changing woodland. Choose it for a prepared Torgashinsky Ridge outing that combines an interest in water and rock with willingness to tackle ground-surfaced ascents.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car - Hard With children - With caution With a dog - No data By bike - No With a stroller - No Mobile signal - Poor Public transport reaches the circuit only with a separate long walking approach. The complete outing needs good fitness: woodland ascents, wet sections and slopes require attention. With children, consider walking experience and readiness to avoid unsafe water or slippery descents. Dog conditions are unconfirmed. Cycling and stroller passage are unestablished. The organiser reports reception only nearer the city, so prepare navigation for independent woodland use.

Nearby

Veera’s upper point lies on a separate branch and is outside this circuit. The local Vityaz formation, Eyes of Vityaz and neighbouring grottoes also need independent approaches; proximity to a woodland road establishes neither safe entry nor an ascent. Sunny Circuit is a different, longer outing through this area. The Bazaikha receives the Bolshaya Voyla farther down the valley, but crossing the Bazaikha itself is outside this plan.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The organiser lists bus 118a to Kuznetsovo. From the stop, a separate long approach leads through the settled side along Kuznetsovo Trail to Health Trail and then the green Bolshaya Voyla markings. An independent Karst Trail approach is another option outside this circuit. A bus to the southern woodland start is unestablished. Before travelling, check the present service, permitted allotment passage and complete return. The woodland circuit time does not describe the entire journey between bus stops.
By car
The organiser’s nearest described drop-off serves the northern Zagorye-2 allotment side. Check permitted driving, gates and a suitable drop-off beforehand; join the circuit here to change its order. A vehicle road to the southern woodland start beside Veera is unconfirmed. Follow the forest and stream-gully sections on foot without attempting to drive through them to the rocks.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Before travelling, ask whether vehicle storage is permitted on the allotment or another settled side for the entire outing. Agree storage conditions and use of the chosen place separately. Keep gates, private entrances and forest access clear; an empty space does not establish permission to use it.

What to expect

Places
Bolshaya Voyla Stream the woodland stream along the eastern circuit side. The path follows its valley and meets the water in places; establish present passage conditions beforehand.
Veera Rock Massif the rocky spurs beside the southern walk. Examine their cascading forms from safe woodland passage without an included ascent to the upper point.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 280 м.
SurfaceDirt 35%, Gravel 7%, Unknown 58%.
Риски Wet sections form part of this outing’s character. After rain, establish stream levels and safe passage in advance; postpone the circuit if water is unsafe. Steep woodland descents can be slippery, and uneven ledges occur near the rocks. Viewing Veera includes neither wall climbing, grotto entry nor an additional summit. Other marked paths meet nearby, so check the green direction beforehand. With weak reception, rely on a prepared map and enough daylight.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Time for the route 2.5–3 hours
With stops | Unestablished The organiser gives this guide for the circuit itself with good preparation and suitable conditions. It excludes the long Kuznetsovo or Karst approach, vehicle travel, rock-viewing pauses and the return to transport. Starting on the northern allotment side changes the order while retaining the woodland ascents. Rain and difficult stream passage require more reserve or a postponed outing. Plan the entire day from arrival to return rather than the forest section alone.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose dry snow-free weather and a checked, manageable stream for a first visit. Spring water and prolonged rain can change the plan. The organiser warns of ticks in the warm season. Autumn damp and wet leaves complicate descents; winter requires separate snow and ice checks. A frozen stream does not establish safe winter passage around the whole circuit. Retain daylight for the return approach.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
Footwear with grip, clothing for wet woodland, rain protection and a warm layer.
Drinking water, food and reserves for the external approach; stream-water safety is unconfirmed.
A woodland junction map, compass, headlamp, charged phone and backup power.
First-aid supplies, seasonal tick protection, a waste bag and spare dry belongings after checking the wet section.
The ordinary circuit does not include independent rock climbing; any separate ascent requires its own preparation.
