Route description

This introduction to Central Stolby begins well before the first rocks. From Laletino, the route enters a wooded valley, climbs towards Pereval and reaches Slonik and the walls of the First Pillar. The long forest approach is followed by syenite formations with distinctive names and silhouettes: the Third and Fourth Pillars, Perya, the Lion Gates, Ded, Babka and Vnuchka. Looking from below lets you notice how each stone outline changes with the viewing angle. The extended version has a present access limitation. Its eastern connection beside the Fourth Pillar meets the Kashtak Trail, which the park reports as temporarily closed. The complete outing in this form should therefore not be planned now. Visit the central rocks using the park’s approved excursion alignment and the permitted Laletino approach. This version finishes beside Slonik and the First Pillar; returning to Laletino requires a separate plan.

Route at a glance

Главное за минуту
Experience the change from a forested valley to the syenite formations, recognise Slonik, study Perya and look for the face suggested by Ded. For a present visit, follow the park’s approved alignment and exclude the closed connection. The long approach adds woodland time and effort beyond the rock excursion itself.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Complete present passage of the extended version is unconfirmed because of the closed connection. Children can join the approved rock excursion with adult supervision, but the long approach and return add effort. Park rules prohibit domestic animals and travel on sporting equipment. Stairs and natural paths are unsuitable for strollers; continuous reception is not guaranteed.

Nearby

The passport identifies visitor and service centres, toilets and information boards at Pereval; establish current opening conditions. Narym lies on a separate branch: a visit, accommodation or an authorised campsite place needs its own arrangements. Unauthorised camping, fire and feeding wildlife are prohibited. Springs in the Laletino area do not replace a personal water supply. Additional rock ascents and journeys into Wild Stolby fall outside the currently approved excursion.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
For arrival on the city side of the Central Entrance, the park lists buses 19, 50 and 78 to Turbaza, with 80 also listed for weekends. An additional walk leads from the stop to Laletino; the stop is outside this version. Arriving by public transport does not remove restrictions in the rock area. Select a permitted visit and return first, then check current services.
By car
The city-side reference for the Central Approach is Sverdlovskaya Street, 140, building 5, reached from the R257 Yenisei road. Leave the vehicle outside and continue on foot to Laletino. Do not assume unrestricted driving to Pereval: park transport and any agreed vehicle access require advance arrangements. A vehicle booking does not open the closed Kashtak connection.
Parking
The approved passport identifies two external parking areas for the Central Approach, both outside the woodland outing and rock area. Choose a site beforehand, establish current conditions and allow for walking to Laletino and back. The excursion-vehicle space at Pereval does not establish unrestricted private-car access.

What to expect

Places
Slonik Rock A small syenite formation beside the stair approach to the central rocks. Look for the outline of a resting elephant from the walking path.
First Pillar One of the central area’s main rock masses, with several summits. The walk introduces its walls from below and includes no ascent to the top.
Babka and Vnuchka Rocks A compact rock ridge with two summits named Grandmother and Granddaughter. Compare their shapes and sizes from the woodland path on the Ded side.
Ded Rock A member of the central rocks’ “stone family”, known for the suggestion of a bearded face. Study it from permitted walking ground without climbing onto the formation.
Lion Gates Rock A named rock composition beside Perya. Study it with the neighbouring formations while following the currently permitted excursion path.
Perya Rocks An emblem of Krasnoyarsk Stolby: tall stone blades rise above the woodland. Their form is striking from below, without an ascent or an approach to exposed edges.
Fourth Pillar A substantial formation in the farther part of the central rock walk. Use the approved walking side; the extended version’s eastern branch requires clarification and provides no access to the closed Kashtak Trail.
Third Pillar A rock mass associated with the history of the local stolbisty community: Alexander Chernyshev’s group established a hut at its foot in 1892. It adds a human story to the stone landscape.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 428 м.
SurfaceDirt 49%, Dirt / grass 14%, Asphalt 12%, Unknown 15%.
Риски The long climb from Laletino, the Pereval stairs, wet roots and loose syenite grit call for steady footing. Ice adds difficulty in cold weather. The closed Kashtak Trail and unconfirmed eastern connection beside the Fourth Pillar are separate access limitations: do not follow older directions through them or seek an improvised bypass. Follow the current approved alignment, avoid rock ascents and check park notices before visiting.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 2 h 58 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
A complete present passage plan for this extended version is unavailable. The park allows roughly 2–2½ hours for the approved Nature the Great Sculptor excursion from Pereval; this concerns the rock walk alone. The Laletino climb, city-side approach and entire return need additional time. Set out early, allow pauses beside the formations and finish in daylight.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
The approved excursion is intended for different seasons, preferably in daylight. Dry footing and calm weather suit a first visit. Postpone the outing in ice, strong wind or hazardous woodland conditions; season does not remove a closure. Consider ticks in warmer weather and check fire-danger notices.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
Footwear with reliable grip, forecast-appropriate clothing and an extra warm layer.
Your own drinking water: the rock section has no drinking-water sources.
Food for the long approach and return.
A map of current approved paths, a charged phone and backup power.
Essential personal medication and a small first-aid kit.
Seasonal tick protection and a bag for all litter.
