Route description

Speleologists Trail connects woodland Health Trail with Torgashino’s allotment edge. This direction leads from the upper junction toward the city: first down the ridge slope, then through the Karst junction area toward a more open meadow and the northern woodland exit. The broad path lets you notice the transition from mountain-taiga woodland to the residential side of Krasnoyarsk. Reaching the bus stop and city streets beyond the forest end requires a separate connection. The name has a particular history. From the middle of the last century, cavers used this approach toward Torgashinskaya Cave; the local caving movement left its mark on the ridge’s place names. On today’s walk, imagine the early groups heading through the forest toward their underground explorations. Torgashinskaya Cave itself lies farther away on another approach, outside this descent. This version works as the closing woodland section of a carefully planned ridge outing. Reach the upper junction by an independently checked route and prepare the city connection through Torgashino. Wet weather and ice make even a relatively short woodland descent demand care over footing.

Route at a glance

Главное за минуту
To discover a historic city approach to the Torgashinsky Ridge. Follow the transition from upper woodland paths to the allotment side while connecting an everyday walk with Krasnoyarsk’s caving history. It makes a purposeful finish to a Health Trail outing: a familiar name gains a real landscape setting, and the city approaches gradually through forest and meadow.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car - Hard With children - With caution With a dog - No data By bike - No With a stroller - No Mobile signal - No data Our Yard serves the city side near the northern end. Beginning this descent at Health Trail requires an independent ascent or another checked approach. Consider it for a prepared child only with an adult able to assess the slope and complete return. A broad forest path does not establish stroller or bicycle suitability. Present dog conditions and continuous mobile reception are unconfirmed.

Nearby

Karst Hill lies south of the upper start and requires a separate branch. Torgashinskaya Cave explains the path’s historical name, but its entrance is outside this cityward descent. Barsuchya Cave also has another approach. Second Torgashinsky Viewpoint and the southern ridge rocks belong to independent extensions; only consider them with spare strength and a separate plan.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The organiser names Nash Dvor, meaning Our Yard, with an allotment approach to the city side of the path. Check the current bus, permitted passage and connection from the forest end beforehand. This direction starts uphill at Health Trail; the stop is not at its beginning. Arriving from the city requires a separate plan for ascending to the upper junction or reaching it by another route.
By car
Arrange vehicle arrival on the Torgashino side. Urban road access does not establish a drive to the upper woodland junction. Find out where drop-off is permitted and how to walk through the allotment area. Descending from Health Trail requires an independent pedestrian approach, followed by a settled-side connection from the northern end to the agreed meeting point.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. The organiser explicitly reports no equipped facilities at the city-side trail start. Ask whether a car can remain throughout the outing and agree the landholder’s conditions beforehand. Keep forest access and private entrances clear; do not choose the upper woodland junction for vehicle storage.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 12 м.
SurfaceDirt 45%, Unknown 55%.
Риски The woodland slope needs grippy footwear and measured steps, especially downhill. Rain, wet leaves and winter ice alter grip. At the Karst junction, confirm the city direction rather than following cave names onto other branches. The organiser warns of ticks in summer. Check the allotment passage and stop connection beforehand so that leaving the forest has a clear continuation. Cave visits require a different independently prepared outing.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 53 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Time for the route | Unestablished With stops | Unestablished A confirmed complete allowance for the descent with pauses is unestablished. Include separately the approach to the upper Health Trail start and the connection from the northern forest end to transport or a meeting point. Ascending from the city along the same path adds a return journey rather than appearing automatically within this description. Begin the woodland section early enough to complete the settled connection in daylight.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose a dry snow-free day for a first visit. Warm-season walking needs tick protection and clothing checks. After rain, take care on the slope and exposed meadow ground. Wet autumn leaves and earlier dusk require spare time for reaching the city. The organiser warns of winter ice; assess the present descent separately rather than treating a broad path as a guarantee of grip.
