Route description

This Torgashinsky Ridge approach begins beside Forest Street in Kuznetsovo. It first follows the eastern woodland side, then turns noticeably west to join the main ascent toward Health Trail. The village recedes gradually through suburban approaches and the forest edge before attention shifts to climbing and woodland junctions. This version finishes at the Health and Brusnichnaya junction. End a standalone walk here and return by a preselected route, or begin an independently prepared continuation. The approach does not reach Black Hill’s summit. Do not expect an obligatory panoramic platform merely because the path leads onto the ridge: its purpose is to connect settled ground with upper woodland routes. The eastern beginning is longer than the short standard approach currently described by the organiser. Agree the forest passage beforehand and retain strength for the return as well as the ascent. It offers a measured introduction to local pedestrian approaches, provided neighbouring long routes are not added without an independent plan.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Kuznetsovo supports a public-transport approach, but check the Forest Street connection and permitted settled passage separately. The ascent needs moderate fitness; a child requires a prepared adult and a complete return plan. Bicycle and stroller suitability for this walking version is unestablished. Dog conditions are unknown. The organiser reports good Tele 2 reception, without confirmation of current continuous coverage for every phone.

Nearby

Black Hill needs an independent continuation from the upper paths; reaching its summit is not automatically part of this approach. Brusnichnaya is a separate substantial circuit with different effort and return requirements. Health Trail continues along the ridge in both directions, while Skazka is another Kuznetsovo approach. Check each addition’s own conditions and remaining time rather than treating the junction as an invitation to complete everything together.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The organiser names Kuznetsovo stop with onward passage through private settled areas toward the forest. Prepare this version’s Forest Street start connection separately rather than substituting the shorter western entrance. Check the present bus, lawful passage and return beforehand. The upper Health junction still leaves a descent to the village; direct transport at the woodland end is unconfirmed.
By car
Choose an agreed settled-side drop-off in Kuznetsovo. This version starts beside Forest Street near Cooperative Lane; check unloading and forest access beforehand. Reach the upper junction on foot. A confirmed visitor drive along the entire route is unavailable. Arrange the return meeting in the village, allowing for the descent from Health Trail.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Vehicle storage in Kuznetsovo needs separate agreement. Ask whether a car can remain throughout the ascent and return, establish who controls the land and confirm permitted forest passage. Keep private entrances, Cooperative Lane and Forest Street clear.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 251 м.
SurfaceDirt 63%, Unknown 37%.
Риски Moderate fitness is needed for the woodland ascent and subsequent return. Reassess ground and grip after rain or frost. The eastern beginning differs from the short standard approach: retain the chosen direction and prechecked passage. At the upper junction, continuing farther is tempting, so decide on Health or Brusnichnaya before setting out. A local path on a map does not replace permission to cross private plots.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 1 h 25 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Time for the route | Unestablished With stops | Unestablished A confirmed complete allowance for the eastern woodland-side version is unestablished. A short standard-approach estimate does not describe this entire beginning. Include separately the stop-to-Forest Street connection, woodland ascent, pauses and village return. Continuing to Black Hill or completing Brusnichnaya Circuit is outside this plan. Choose the return beforehand and finish with spare daylight.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Choose a dry snow-free day for a first visit. Warm-season walking needs the tick protection recommended by the organiser. Rain can make exposed suburban ground and the woodland slope slippery. Plan an earlier village return in autumn. Assess winter snow and ice independently; a neighbouring ski trail establishes neither the entire walking path’s condition nor permission for every branch.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
Comfortable grippy footwear for woodland climbing, clothing for the forecast and rainwear.
Water and food for the approach and Kuznetsovo return.
A map of the eastern beginning and upper junction, charged phone, headlamp and first-aid supplies.
Seasonal tick protection and a waste bag.
Agreed settled-side passage and a clear return meeting point.
