Route description

This woodland walk has two distinct moods. Serebryanikovskaya first leaves the GTO Trail for the open side of Gremyachaya Griva. Beside Viewpoint No. 1, the trees give way to the Yenisei valley; in clear weather, the Torgashinsky Ridge and the rocks of Krasnoyarsk Stolby can be picked out across the river. It is a place to pause and study familiar silhouettes from the opposite bank. The trail then descends towards Serebryanikovsky, or Silver, Pond. A wooded slope and a stair section lead to the water beside Serebryany Log, where a quiet waterside break rounds off the descent. This version finishes at the pond. Continuing to the old stairs in Udachny requires a separate extension. The change from a broad panorama above to a sheltered pond below gives the short branch its character, while reaching its upper start remains an additional woodland approach.

Route at a glance

Главное за минуту
Study the Yenisei valley and the ridges beyond it from Viewpoint No. 1, then descend to a small woodland pond. Choose this branch for the contrast between an expansive outlook and a sheltered waterside setting, with a natural downhill path between them.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Public transport requires an additional walk. Children need supervision and a steady footing on the steep descent. Stairs prevent a continuous stroller or bicycle journey. Establish dog rules with the operator; its description of reception almost throughout does not guarantee continuous coverage.

Nearby

Serebryany Log visitor centre stands beside the lower end. The regional visitor information centre describes a small library, souvenirs, a café and toilets here; check opening hours before visiting. The chum and yurt nearby introduce aspects of life among the peoples of Yenisei Siberia and require an additional visit. The old Udachny stairs and the newer stairs from Zhivopisnaya are separate connections rather than completed portions of this version. Do not treat the pond as a drinking-water source.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The organiser recommends buses 31, 88 or 90 to Akademiya Biatlona, followed by a walk along the marked network to the northern part of the GTO Trail. The stop is outside this short branch. Plan the complete approach first and a separate return from the pond. Check current services and your return boarding point before setting out.
By car
For arrival on the lower side, the regional visitor information centre describes driving through Udachny: turn right after Zhivopisnaya stop and follow the road for about a kilometre to the parking area beside Serebryany Log. Reaching the upper start still requires a separate climb or another planned walking approach. This plan provides no vehicle passage along the woodland branch or drop-off directly at the viewpoint.
Parking
The regional visitor information centre identifies a 34-car parking area roughly 130 metres from Serebryany Log visitor centre. It serves the lower side of the walk. Establish the exact entrance, current conditions and space availability in advance. If starting above, include your walk back to the vehicle in the overall plan.

What to expect

Places
Viewpoint No. 1 (Serebryanikovskaya) The viewing side above Serebryany Log. In clear weather, look across the Yenisei valley towards the Torgashinsky Ridge and the rocks of Krasnoyarsk Stolby.
Serebryanikovsky Pond The woodland pond’s bank at the lower end of the walk. Pause beside the water near Serebryany Log visitor centre; a complete circuit of the pond requires a separate plan.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 3 м.
SurfaceDirt 94%, Artificial surface 4%, Dirt / grass 1%.
Риски The main demands are the steep woodland descent and the stairs nearer the pond. Ground loses grip after rain; steps and approaches can ice over in winter. Slow down between the viewing side and the lower section. A return uphill needs energy even when the descent felt easy.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 31 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
First reach the branch along the GTO Trail, allow a pause at Viewpoint No. 1, then descend steadily to the pond. Take a break here before returning or continuing along a route selected in advance. Transport approaches, waterside pauses and the return are additional to this short branch. A confirmed duration for the complete outing with these connections is unavailable.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Clear weather gives the best chance of distinguishing the river valley and distant rocks. Choose dry footing and daylight for a first visit. Tick protection and a post-walk check matter in the warmer months; winter calls for checking the stairs and choosing footwear with reliable grip.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
Footwear with a gripping sole and weather-appropriate clothing.
Water and a small snack.
A saved map covering the complete arrival and return.
A charged phone and basic first-aid kit.
Seasonal tick protection; winter traction suited to actual stair conditions.
A litter bag.
