Route description

The purple outing toward Manskaya Baba is currently closed to tourist passage: it is outside Krasnoyarsk Stolby National Park’s approved list. Colour marks and older descriptions do not change that condition. The following introduces the places on two separate woodland sections rather than inviting a visit today. The first approach starts on the southern side of the First Stolb area and heads toward Farm Rock. Farther on, the woodland path passes beside Cain and Abel Rocks, crosses named taiga streams and reaches Shark Rock, whose name helps reveal a familiar silhouette. Manskaya Baba is the main southern landmark. Its distinctive Head rises over a substantial base; the interest here is the rock’s exterior appearance rather than an attempt to climb it. The separate second section belongs to the Manskaya Wall area. A long rock massif beside woodland reveals another aspect of southern Stolby. A connecting passage from Manskaya Baba to this section’s beginning is unconfirmed, as is a complete return to the original rock area. Any future officially reopened visit would require a newly agreed plan and an independent return.

Route at a glance

Главное за минуту
Farm Rock, Shark Rock, Manskaya Baba and Manskaya Wall form a distinctive southern-rock theme, from recognisable small figures to substantial massifs within taiga. Their names preserve the local climbers’ habit of finding character and images in stone. While this outing is closed, explore the park’s published material and choose a separate permitted walk for an actual visit.

Route suitability

Кому будет комфортно
Without a car - Hard With children - No With a dog - No By bike - No With a stroller - No Mobile signal - No data Tourist passage is currently closed. Any officially reopened version would still need the rock-district ascent, a return plan and confirmation of passage between the two sections. It is unsuitable for an ordinary children’s outing or stroller. Pets and bicycles are prohibited in the park. Continuous reception across the complete version is unconfirmed.

Nearby

The currently approved Nature the Great Sculptor walk runs separately near First Stolb. Check its permitted order and conditions with the park rather than automatically continuing south. Slonik and First Stolb’s summit are outside this start at the southern foot. Verkhopuz and Nelidov Stones require separate approaches. Manskaya Baba’s climbing passages belong to independent ascents, while Kabarga, the Twins and Camel belong to other southern-area directions.

Getting there

Варианты и важные моменты Show on map
Without a car
The lower arrival plan for permitted Central Stolby walks begins at Turbaza, meaning Tourist Base, stop. A separate ascent via the Central Entrance, Laletino and the Pass reaches the rock district. Check current departures and visitor conditions with the park. Transport does not reach this First Stolb start. That arrival plan does not permit continuing toward Manskaya Baba.
By car
The park gives Sverdlovskaya Street 140, building 5, for lower Central Entrance arrival. Reaching the rocks from the city side is a separate journey. Independent visitor driving on woodland paths is prohibited; special transport arrangements need advance agreement with the administration. Discuss an authorised rock-district visit separately from the closed purple outing.
Parking
Parking is unconfirmed. Vehicle storage on the lower city side needs separate checking. Establish current conditions and availability beforehand. Storage arrangements at the rock start or Manskaya Baba are unconfirmed. A permitted walk still needs an independent return to the car.

Difficult sections and safety

На что обратить внимание
Elevation gainСуммарный набор высоты — 96 м.
SurfaceDirt 60%, Unknown 40%.
Риски Closed access is the present overriding limitation. Any subsequent official opening would still require a checked connection between sections and a return; neighbouring rocks do not establish a safe joining passage. Roots, loose stone and damp ground demand careful walking, and present stream crossings are unconfirmed. Rock ascents are outside this walking description. Historic climbing passages and shelter names do not replace a checked path or current permission.

How much time to allow

Оцените свой темп
Расчётное время в пути 1 h 16 min
С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Time for the route | Unestablished With stops | Unestablished Do not plan passage at present. A confirmed complete allowance for both sections, their connection and return is unavailable. A short estimate for a different out-and-back Manskaya Baba outing does not transfer. After official reopening, allow separately for the city-side ascent, each woodland section, an agreed connection, exterior rock observation and the return. No reopening date is established.

Best time to go

Сезонность и рекомендации
Season does not remove the present access restriction. For any future agreed visit, check woodland slopes, streams, falling-tree risks and current park notices. Rain, snow and ice alter footing beside rock bases. Warm-season walking needs tick protection and spare water. Short autumn daylight is especially significant because of the substantial external approach.

What to bring

Базовый список для комфортного похода
After official reopening: grippy woodland-and-rock footwear, rainwear and a warm layer.
Personal drinking water and food for external approaches and the return; streams are not established drinking-water sources.
A map of permitted paths, headlamp, compass, charged phone and backup power.
First-aid supplies and seasonal tick protection.
An agreed two-section and return plan; fire, climbing or overnight equipment does not make those activities an authorised part of the walk.
