An unhurried pace leaves time to notice woodland sections, open ground and distinctive natural landmarks rather than focusing only on the finish. The most distinctive places are Gomel, Rogachev, Kholmistyi and Kholmistye. It is worth allowing time for a brief stop at each one.

Travel by train to Gomel, Rechytsa, Zhlobin or Kalinkavichy, then take a district bus to the settlement near the trailhead. For a point-to-point cycling route, check the return train in advance. Because the start and finish are in different places, check the return service in advance, arrange a transfer or leave a second vehicle near the finish.
By car
