Route description

From eastern Gomel to the Besed and back through Buda-Koshelevo, this May route offers an expansive journey by road. City streets give way to village junctions and river valleys. The Iput arrives soon after the start; beyond Vetka, the Uvich, Vedernya and Stolbunka form a succession of smaller crossings. Take time to notice Vetka’s roadside landmarks. The southern entrance has a monument to the district’s first agricultural machinery workers, while an excavator stands beside the northern road as a reminder of local working life. Add a separate museum stop to explore the area’s icons, books and woven patterns. The journey then continues towards Svetilovichi, crosses the Besed and turns towards the Pokot and Zalesye. Beyond the Sozh, this version heads west towards the road to Buda-Koshelevo. Chechersk’s central square belongs to a separate visit. Naspa, the Uza and the Randovka follow on the return arc, before the journey ends on Mogilevskaya Street in a different part of Gomel. The succession of rivers and smaller settlements rewards travellers who enjoy watching the countryside change between towns.

Оцените свой темп

С запасом на остановки + 30–60 мин
Allow a very long cycling day for a well-prepared rider, starting early and keeping a daylight reserve. If visiting Vetka’s museum and Buda-Koshelevo’s gallery, split the journey and confirm accommodation. Leave time at the end for the city transfer from Mogilevskaya Street to the station, accommodation or starting area.

Best time to go
